About Us
Helping Children Know God's Love
It’s our desire to create a space for children to know they are loved by the community and by God, as well as provide a safe place for them to experience that love and care from adults in that community. We want to serve those families by providing a space for their children to go after school on a day that does not normally have one.
Our vision for this program is to provide an after school program for Kindergarten - 6th grade after school on Fridays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at the school gym.
Our Story
In the Winter of 2023, Washington County community member Beth Woerner came to the leadership team at Faith Connection with an idea: to provide an after school program on Fridays as a type of "extension" of the Power Zone after school program, but with a Bible element added. After meeting with school administration, it was clear there was not only a need but a desire to have something every day of the school week to serve families.
So the planning process began, first with the application for a Washington County Community Foundation Grant, which we have recently learned that we have received almost half the money we have projected we need to launch this program.

The Curriculum and Volunteers
Dig In (Foundations of the Faith) from Group Publishing is the program we are using to structure our time with the kids. It includes activities, Bible teaching, and songs - all lead by our faithful volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, click the button below to fill out a volunteer application. All volunteers will be interviewed by members of our launch team and will go through a background check before being approved.
